Licensees are required to take 8 hours of Continuing Education every year as part of the requirement to maintain an active real estate license in North Carolina. The 8 hours consist of a 4-hour Update Course, written by the Real Estate Commission, and a 4-hour Elective course that has been approved by the Commission.
